It looks like water-resistant phones are going to be the trend this year. First, Samsung jumped on the bandwagon with the Galaxy S5 and, if reports from Korean media are to be believed, the Note 4 and LG G3 will be water resistant as well. According to the report, while Samsung went with a third party Korean company for waterproofing the Galaxy S4, LG will be using its own internally-developed technology....

Just a few days after it announced that the LG V20 will be the first device to launch with Android 7.0 Nougat, LG has sent out press invites for the launch event of the handset in San Francisco. The event will take place on 6th September, with a separate event being held in Seoul, Korea on September 7th. The press invite carries the tagline “The second story begins, LG V20” and “Play More”, which don’t really reveal anything about the handset....

Although there has been a lot of noise about new AirPods recently, it doesn’t seem like they are actually due for an update anytime soon. A proven leaker has corroborated a recent Kuo report that said AirPods 3 were not scheduled to enter mass production until later in the year… Yesterday, respected Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said that third-generation AirPods were in development but the supply chain was not preparing to mass produce them until Q3 2021, which means they won’t be launching in the next couple of weeks....

LG just launched the G Pad X 8.0, an Android Marshmallow operating system based tablet, is now available in the US through the carrier T-Mobile. The good news is that you don’t need to wait for the G3 to go on sale to try out the new keyboard. A good samaritan over at XDA forums — Cloudyfa — has managed to port LG’s Smart keyboard for all other Android devices including the likes of the Galaxy S5 and the HTC One M8. Installation will require users to have root access though, as they will need to flash a zip file in recovery....

Last weekend, a few iPhone X owners started sharing reports and images of a green line issue appearing on the new OLED display.
