LG today announced that it will be launching its own Hi-Fi music service for customers of its “premium smartphones.” The service will launch later this month and will be available through the company’s SmartWorld app or the LG World website. The Korean company claims that its high-fidelity music service will deliver an audio quality that will be about six times richer and clearer than traditional CD quality audio. Owners of LG G4, LG G3, G2, and G Flex 2 will also be able to enjoy 24bit music playback from the music service. While LG did not reveal the pricing tier of its Hi-Fi music service, it did reveal that “qualifying” customers will be able to download two free music tracks every months, along with the option to purchase songs at up to 50 percent discount off their regular price. LG’s Hi-Fi music service will launch later this month across 70 countries including the United States, Brazil, China, France, Italy, and Australia.
