The good news is that you don’t need to wait for the G3 to go on sale to try out the new keyboard. A good samaritan over at XDA forums — Cloudyfa — has managed to port LG’s Smart keyboard for all other Android devices including the likes of the Galaxy S5 and the HTC One M8. Installation will require users to have root access though, as they will need to flash a zip file in recovery. An XDA member has also packaged the file in an APK but that requires root access as well.
