LG has just announced a new mid-range smartphone for several different markets, which should be going out for availability starting this week. Officially announced via a press release, LG has taken the wraps off a brand new mid-range device called the F60. It boasts a 4.5-inch WVGA display (207 PPI), and a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor under the hood. There’s 1GB of RAM under the hood, and the device will come in two variants: 4GB or 8GB of built-in storage. On the back there’s a 5-megapixel camera, and around the front there’s a 1.3MP shooter. It’s running Android 4.4.2 KitKat out of the box, underneath LG’s proprietary user interface, which comes with plenty of LG-specific features. The battery measures in at 2,100mAh, and it will boast 4G LTE-connectivity. The device also has plenty of noteworthy features, some of which were borrowed from LG’s flagship, the G3:

As far as pricing and availability goes, LG confirmed the handset will be landing in Europe right about now. The F60 should be making its way to the United States and Asia beginning later this week.
