It’s been only a matter of days since a major leak regarding LG’s G4 hit the web, showcasing what was believed to be a brand new leather back for the upcoming, but still unofficial flagship handset. Now, LG has apparently decided to go ahead and confirm what everyone already knows: The G4 is going to have a leather back option. The image, which showcases the G4 at an angle that just shows enough of the new back to tantalize the onlooker, was posted to LG Mobile’s official Facebook page just about nine hours ago. The company also confirms the new option in the description below the image, calling it a “vegetable-tanned leather cover.” Leather became a popular option for the Moto X (2nd Gen.) when Motorola brought the option for customization within Moto Maker, and apparently LG likes the look of it, too. Right now, there’s no telling how much the leather-backed option will cost, versus whatever other variants LG will offer, but one can imagine it will probably be at a premium. LG has already teased the camera on the G4, and most recently teased the “IPS Quantum Display” in a published teaser video. LG’s set an April 28 launch event for the G4, so we don’t have long to wait.
