LG today announced that it has started the global rollout of its latest curved wonder — the G Flex 2. The handset will be available through major carriers in the United States, Hong Kong, Singapore, France, the U.K. and Germany. The handset will also be making its way to key markets like North and South America, Europe and Asia in the weeks following MWC. LG had unveiled the G Flex 2 at the Consumer Electronic Show in January this year. The successor to the original G Flex, which was unveiled in the second half of 2013, comes with a 5.5-inch 1080p curved P-OILED display and a self healing back cover that can “heal” from everyday scratches in only 10 seconds. The G Flex 2 is also the first Android handset to ship with Qualcomm’s next generation Snapdragon 810 chipset — a 64-bit octa-core chip with an Adreno 430 GPU. It also comes with a 13MP OIS+ rear camera with LaserAF, and a 3000mAh non-removable battery. On the software side, the handset runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop with the latest version of LG’s Optimus UI, which packs in features like Gesture Short, Gesture View, Glance View, and more.
