At the end of February, Lenovo’s Mobile World Congress announcement lineup allegedly leaked ahead of the big reveal. Now, Lenovo has officially announced its brand new Android-powered smartphones for 2015. The first of which, the Vibe Shot, is all about taking pictures with your smartphone, even boasting a point-and-shoot design. And then the A7000, which features mid-range specifications, has a bigger focus on consuming content.
First, the Vibe Shot, which features a 16-megapixel camera on the back, with optical image stabilization, six-piece modular lens, a full-frame 16:9 low-light sensor, and a tricolor flash for good measure. Lenovo has included an established Pro mode and integrated Smart presets, all of which an be switched between easily. There’s an 8MP front-facing camera, too. As far as the specifications go, the Vibe Shot features a 5-inch 1920×1080 display, a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 octa-core processor clocked at 1.7GHz. There is 3GB of RAM, 32GB of built-in storage, a microSD card slot for expandable memory, and a 2900mAh battery. It will be running Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box. It will launch in June of this year, and cost $349.
The other device announced at MWC 2015 is the A7000, which features a 5.5-inch 1280×720 display, an octa-core MediaTek MT6752 processor clocked at 1.5GHz, and a 2900mAh battery. There’s an 8MP camera on the back, with a 2-megapixel front-facing camera on the other side, with 8GB of built-in storage, 2GB of RAM, and Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box.
