More than two months after its formal announcement, Lenovo today unveiled its latest budget handset: the K6 Power. Powered by a Snapdragon 430 chipset, the handset will take on Xiaomi’s budget champion – the Redmi 3S/Prime.
The Lenovo K6 Power comes with a 5-inch Full HD display and a metal unibody design. The Snapdragon 430 chipset inside the device is clocked at 1.4GHz and is paired with an Adreno 505 GPU. Other specs of the handset include 32GB of storage, microSD card slot, 4000mAh battery, a fingerprint scanner located at the rear, Dolby Atmos audio support, a 13MP rear camera with LED flash and PDAF, and an 8MP front shooter with a wide-angle lens. The handset comes with a 4000mAh battery which should be more than good enough to power the handset through a day of heavy use. There is no word from Lenovo on whether the handset supports Quick Charging or not. The 145gms heavy and 9.3mm thick phone will go on sale exclusively through Flipkart from December 6th midnight for Rs 9,999. It will be available in a trio of colors: Dark Grey, Gold, and Silver. Compared to Xiaomi’s popular Redmi 3S, the Lenovo K6 Power comes with a higher resolution screen. While this will allow the phone to display more information, the load of the additional pixels can negatively affect its gaming performance.
