The smartphone industry is an ever-changing and evolving domain. Over the year, we saw many technologies marked their entry based on design and hardware. Now a new trend is going to take over the smartphones. This is the concept of foldable smartphones. We already have Samsung and Huawei mentioning of bringing out such devices in the future. Now, in a surprise move, Lenovo also joins the bandwagon. It is also prepping to introduce a smartphone that folds. In fact a Lenovo foldable smartphone leaks in a hands-on video.

As you can see above, it has a tall and thin frame. It is quite easily bendable. Also, to concretize the fact that the device actually belongs to Lenovo, you can see the brand name etched on the bottom of the device. This concept from Lenovo is not new. Back in 2016, the company showcased such a similar device. It can bend into the structure of a smart wristwatch. This can solve the dual purpose of a smart wearable and smartphone. Recently Lenovo Vice president shared a photo of 4-camera set-up which indicates it may release a smartphone with 4-cameras.
Samsung has already confirmed of working on such a device which will go under the Galaxy F series. The foldable phone from Samsung may appear in early or mid-2019. Speaking of Lenovo’s device, as of now, there is no confirmation on the release date. However, rumor on the street says that it may unveil this month itself. Besides, there is no lead on the specifications. However, as it follows a sophisticated technology, it will come under the flagship category. So, it will pack specifications according to that.
